How to install and use the bookmarklet
Our bookmarklet is an alternative to our browser extension. Since our browser extension only works with Chrome and Firefox, the bookmarklet is a great option if you use a different browser or prefer not to use extensions.
Note: The bookmarklet works best on desktop. For Android devices, we recommend using our PWA. We are working on improvements for our iOS experience.
How to use the bookmarklet on desktop

Drag the icon below into your bookmarks bar:

To save an item, navigate to a web page. Then click on the bookmarklet.
How to use the bookmarklet on Android (Google Chrome)
Note: This tutorial is for advanced users. For Android devices, we recommend using our PWA instead.
- Copy this code:
javascript:b=document,window.open('https://nipht.io/save?url='+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+'&title='+encodeURIComponent(document.title))
- In Chrome, open the menu and tap on the star
- Tap edit before the message disappears.
- Set name to anything you like, such as ‘Save to Niphtio’.
- Set folder to whichever folder you want to save the button to.
- Delete everything in the URL field and paste the code here.
- Tap the back button to save.
- To save an item, navigate to a web page. Then tap on this bookmark.
How to use the bookmarklet on iOS (Google Chrome)
Note: This tutorial is for advanced users.
- Copy this code:

- In Safari, tap the share icon in the bottom toolbar and tap add bookmark.
- Set name to anything you like, such as ‘Save to Niphtio’.
- Tap done.
- Tap the bookmark icon . Locate the bookmark you just made and tap edit.
- Delete everything in the URL field and paste the code here.
- Tap done to save.
- To save an item, navigate to a web page. Then tap on this bookmark.
I don't see my bookmarks bar
If you don't see your bookmarks bar, it might be hidden. You can usually find this option in your browser's View options. If you're having trouble, please find the instructions for your browser:
